1. (Internet) A small animated graphic for use on a webpage, usually taking the form of a picture or phrase with blinking lights around it.

Collecting these cute little images known as blinkies has been an internet obsession since the late ’90s. Are they annoying? You bet! But from the very first time I saw a blinky, I was addicted! There are still many pages of the tiny animated graphics for you to find another one that you just can’t be without. Collectors collect blinkies that reflect their likes, dislikes, personality, and even attitude. With that being said, many of these blinkies are ones that I personally made … it was all about Raggedies!

You can send these animations by email to your friends, post them on Facebook or on your homepage and also by messenger and Skype. Have a lot of fun with these free blinkies 🙂

All blinkie’s need a HOME … they need an http address. The only way to do that is to “link” them from the website that they call home. If you don’t have your own “website” to store your blinkies, I would recommend getting a free “website” at say Yahoo … there are many others out there…but you just need enough space to upload your blinkies, and then you can link to them from there.
